The 7 Types of Rest You Actually Need 🛌

1. Physical Rest – The most obvious, but not just sleep! It’s also deep breathing, stretching, and allowing your body to recover from daily stress.

🧠 2. Mental Rest – If your brain won’t shut up (hello, overthinkers 🙋🏽‍♀️), you need mental rest Reader. Try a brain dump before bed, setting screen-free hours, or even quick mindfulness breaks.

💖 3. Emotional Rest – If you’re constantly on for others, supporting everyone but yourself, you might feel emotionally heavy. Emotional rest looks like expressing your feelings freely, getting support, or enforcing your boundaries.

🎨 4. Creative Rest – Feeling uninspired or stuck Suga? Creative rest means stepping away from problem-solving mode and letting yourself be refreshed—through nature, music, or just daydreaming.

👥 5. Social Rest – Let's keep it 💯 Certain people fuel you, while others drain you. Social rest is stepping away from energy-draining interactions and surrounding yourself with those who pour back into you.

🔇 6. Sensory Rest – Screens, notifications, bright lights, constant noise… It’s too much. Sensory rest is about reducing overstimulation—turn off notifications, dim the lights, and let your nervous system breathe.

🙏 7. Spiritual Rest – That deep, soul-level rest that comes from connecting with the Holy Spirit. Whether it’s prayer, meditation, journaling, or time in stillness listening for God's voice and direction—it’s about aligning with what truly fulfills you.
