Hey Reader hey!
3 things I'd tell you to try if we had 10 minutes together right now? Cuz we're officially in the 2nd half of the year and I am SEEING it in my practice: ambitious women who started strong in January, hittin' a MAJOR wall right now and wonderin' how they lost the plot so fast.. 😮💨
Try just 1. Try all 3. Tell me which ones hittin' yea? 👀
Give ya' brain a hard stop time
Pick ONE time today: not a goal - an actual time on your clock - and THEN decide that's when you stop working. PERIODT. Set an alarm if you gotta (let's be honest... you gotta 😂). 🫵🏽 When it goes off, close the laptop and let that be enough for the day! Ya nervous system can't learn to come down from overdrive if it's never a signal that the day is actually finished - a hard stop is that signal Boo!
Do ya "tomorrow list" the night before
I know I know - hear me out Reader! Before you go to sleep tonight, here's what I want you to do: write down the 3 - MAX 3 (nah you heard what I said Girl don't make me come get you lol) things that actually have to happen tomorrow. Not ya full list. Three. 🫶🏽 Why? Cuz when your brain knows tomorrow's already handled, it stops running those tasks on a loop at 2am (I know SOMEBODY feel me 😫). And that means you actually get a shot at rest that FEELS like REAL rest!
Build one 10-min transition ritual between work & home
This one is for my Babes going from Work Mode straight into Mama/Wife/Partner Mode with absolutely ZERO buffer. 😭 Trust me Love it ain't gotta be fancy: a specific playlist in the car, a walk around the block, 5 mins of quiet before you unlock the front door. Basically a ritual that consistently marks the END of work and the BEGINNING of home is the fastest way to stop carrying work energy into the space where you're supposed to exhale.
Now I get it: these are super small things Boo. They're not gonna fix everything overnight. But small consistent things done with intention - and with trust that God is handling what you can't? That's where the real shift happens. Not in the big overhauls. Not in the grind. In the PAUSE. 🤎
Love you Reader 💜 mean it!
