How to Live a Healthier Lifestyle (Even With a Busy Schedule!)

Happy Monday Reader,

I know you're busy today and if you're anything like me your default is likely waking up and being flooded with everything you have to do today. I want to invite you to take a moment to pause before you get to your to do list.

You can pause your schedule for 5 minutes to intentionally pouring into yourself Reader.

Prompts to Help You Pour:

  • What do I need right now? What would help keep me calm approaching this day?
  • What do I reasonably have time for right now?
  • What will I need during the day to keep me regulated?

If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a strong advocate for managing your wellness daily! Because you're VIP Reader! 😊 I'm not kidding! So many people count on you, but you're no good to them if you're not regulated. We always have to start there, it might seem like a better option to compromise your wellness for the sake of your goals or ambition - but that never pays off.

So I want to give you some practical strategy on living a healthier lifestyle while you're in your elevation season aka in the process of becoming bka the road to the upgraded version of you!

Focus on routines instead of schedules

Most people LIVE by their schedule and here's the thing Reader I do too! But my scheduling power up? πŸš€ I focus on routines instead of the timing of my schedule! Okay so that's not 100% true - I am mindful of the time, but I'm more proactive about the routines I engage in which leads me to... πŸ‘‡πŸ½

Create custom routines that work for you

Remember when you got excited cuz you tried that morning routine you saw on YouTube and it worked for like 2 days?! Remember the let down you felt 2 weeks later when you found yourself still struggling?

You probably thought to yourself, "I'm just struggling with motivation" or "I'm too lazy for all that" or the worst one "I just probably need to try harder" The truth is you were never the problem Reader.

You have to create routines that work for you, your lifestyle, your family, your season and more. Unfortunately we can't copy & paste routines πŸ˜– we have to adapt them to our own personal needs. Use the foundational ideas, but make it your own.

Don't skip meals! Your body needs the fuel

I'm talking to myself on this one too Reader! It can be incredibly tempting to skip meals, but don't do it. Get creative with how you prep your meals. Some of my favorite options are grocery delivery, grocery pick up, or fresh ready-made meals to pop in the oven. #Lifesavers

Honor your need for rest

You're not lazy. You're not unmotivated. You're not a downgraded version of what you used to be. You just need rest. Your energy is different. Your season is different. Your body is different.

Every year we grow old our body matures and our needs shift: simply adapt to the needs of your body. Because you're aging like fine wine Reader.

Leave flexible time in your schedule

You have to leave some white space in your schedule. I know it may not be realistic to have white space every day when you're learning to adjust your routines. But leaving white space should be a goal to work towards.
